Transparent Images
Transparent images are used for a lot of things - buttons, avatars, etc. I'll use an avatar I made featuring Dominic Monaghan. (Don't take it).

1. Open your image.

2. Create your image. Wherever you want the transparency to take place, color it all in with one color, particularly one that isn't used in ANY part/pixel of the image you want to be visible. For my transparency I chose this bright green color.

Yummy, yummy!

3. Click on the Dropper tool and then on the color you want to make transparent (IE: the green).

4. Colors > Set Palette Transparency > Ok > click the last option. Set the Transparency Value to Palette Entry > Click the color box next to it > click the color you want to be transparent/the one you picked in step 2 (the green).

5. Click ok. Save your image with a gif extension. It will appear with the color you chose (the green) every time you open the image in a program, but the image will be transparent when you upload it and load it on a site.

Yummy, yummy!
