| Changing Image Colour Schemes |
|
Sometimes after I've worked on a design for a long time, I find I can grow tired of the colour scheme. But once I've done all the work using those now-dull colours, how can I go back and do it all over again? Well, it's easy! Here is the image I'll be using to alter. ![]() Open up your image. I've made a couple of colour schemes so you can see how it works. You'll be using the Hue/Saturation and Channel Mixer feature. You can get to these features by going: Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation (or) Channel Mixer. You can use one of the following colour schemes by copying the settings for your own image, or creating your own. You'll probably need to adjust some of them - whatever works best for your image!
Hue/SatEdit: Master -82, 12, 8 Channel Mixer Output: Red 100, -26, 32, 0
Hue/SatEdit: Master 114, 46, 2 Channel Mixer Output: Red 138, 0, 0, 0 Don't forget, you can add some brightness or contrast to images that still don't look right or end up too light or too dark/dull. Last updated June 14 2008. |
